Kettle River is a city in Carlton County, Minnesota, United States, along the Kettle River, for which it was named. The population was 180 at the 2010 census. The racial makeup of the city was 92.2% White, 1.7% Native American, and 6.1% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.6% of the population.There were 79 households of which 34.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 41.8% were married couples living together, 16.5% had a female householder with no husband present, 7.6% had a male householder with no wife present, and 34.2% were non-families. 29.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.28 and the average family size was 2.81.
