Three Days in Nusa Penida

Walking through three wonderful days in the amazing Nusa Penida. Nusa Penida still feels rustic and it's our favorite place to visit in Bali. It's well worth the short ferry ride across the sea to see this beautiful island.

Day 1

Take in the adventures on the southern part of the island. It's highlighted by a stunning cliffside beach which you'll have almost entirely to yourself.

Kelingking Beach

Favorite part of our Nusa Penida trip. A strenuous hike to a stunning beach. Worth the hike and adventure. Don't recommend swimming in the water as there can be a strong current. Plan at least 2 plus hours for the hike and relaxing at the beach. It's a fantastic place to take in the sunset, but you'll need to make sure you have a torch to get up the hike because it's more than a bit sketchy in several areas.

1

Angel Billabong

30-minute drive from Kelingking. As you get close to Angel's Billabong, the road is almost nonexistent and wicked bumpy. We took a scooter this day but you may want to take a car.

2

Broken Beach

This is right next to Angel's Billabong. It's a beautiful shoreline.

Day 2

Let's spend some time in the water! Nusa Penida is known for its frequent spotting of Sunfish (the largest fish in the world) and if you're lucky you'll see one as well!

Penida Colada Beach Bar

Pick your preferred vendor to go scuba diving. There is a good spot to see Manta Rays, check with the scuba companies for if they will be diving there that day based on the current waves and tides. Always make sure to keep your eyes out for a Mola Mola. After your dive, head to the Penida Colada bar in It's right on the beach and give you the chance to take in some good food and a cocktail as you watch the sunset over the water.

Day 3

Another beach day, this time on the far west side of the island

Atuh Beach

Beautiful beach on the east side of the island. Recommend booking transportation. It's not easy to get here by scooter. If you do scooter, make sure you do not take the local entrance into Atuh Beach. There's a great view looking north on the entrance to the beach you do not want to miss.
